The Flash Mid-Season Finale: "Don't Run"

Image via Denofgeek.com
During last week's action packed crossover, we didn't see much of Clifford DeVoe aka The Thinker but he returned in the mid-season finale for Barry. In "Don't Run", DeVoe played Barry & his friends like a board game and by the end of the episode, had them exactly where he needed them to be. Things started well at the beginning of the episode with Barry & Iris opening wedding gifts and the other members of Team Flash getting in the holiday spirit by doing a few decorations around Star Labs. Barry gets kidnapped by DeVoe and Caitlyn gets captured by Amunet (Katee Sackhoff) to help save Dominic who's also a meta. Coincidence? I don't think so. Caitlyn refused to help at first but eventually performs the surgery that saved his life and they both escape. Barry is trapped in a force field by DeVoe but he's able to escape and they both fly round the city crashing into buildings. To be honest, this scene looked a little ridiculous and laughable. Barry is saved by his suits flotation device while DeVoe crashes into the water.

Everyone is relieved to have Barry & Caitlyn back home & they all head to Joe's house for the Christmas celebrations. Caitlyn even invited her new friend, Dominic. Barry gets a message about an alarm going off at their house & he leaves. He gets a call from Dominic who tells him that he's going away for a long time because Dominic is actually DeVoe & DeVoe's body was stabbed & dumped at Barry's house. Poor Barry. He doesn't run and the CPD arrests him. The Thinker played a game of chess with Team Flash & set Barry up for his own murder. Barry could have easily cleaned up the murder scene  and dumped the body somewhere else but of course, he had to whisper "Don't Run" to himself & wait for the police. I wasn't happy about the fact that Barry came out of the Speed Force so easily but I guess we now know how & why it happened. I really wish they would do away with Ralph, because his character is just as useless as Wally. He talks too much and doesn't say anything that really makes sense. The Flash doesn't need a comic relief who's actually not funny, we already have Cisco. They need to find a way to kill him or make his disappear.

I'm a bit worried about the new DeVoe played by Kendrick Sampson because I already got so used to Niel Sandilands' portrayal of the character and I'm just hoping Sampson does justice to it. The best part about this episode was the beginning & the end, the episode would have been way better without the unnecessary scenes with some of the characters. The Flash returns to our screens in January 2018.

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I cried for two episodes straight) which means

Review- Who's The Boss (2020)

Directed by Chinaza Onuzo, "Who's The Boss" follows Liah (Sharon Ooja) , an Advertising Executive who struggles to climb the cooperate ladder while juggling her mean and vindictive boss Hauwa (Funke Akindele- Bello). She takes the advice of her best friend Jumoke (Ini Dima-Okojie) and enlists her friend Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu), a known play boy into posing as her boss but ends up falling for him. It doesn't get any more cliche than this. After watching the first teaser for the Inkblot comedy, I was a little intrigued and looked forward to seeing how they were going to pull it off but sadly, it fell short in more ways than one. The biggest issue I had was the lead character and the actress cast to play it. Ooja has been typecast and I thought seeing her as the lead would show us a different side to the actress but my perception of her acting skills are worse than before. There's nothing worth remembering about this story and her acting did nothing to el
