Image via CarteMatt.com The second season of USA Network's Shooter was cut short due to an off-set injury sustained by Ryan Phillipe who plays the lead character Bob Lee Swagger. Instead of ten episodes, the eight episode will serve as the finale. The first season of Shooter focused on Bob Lee as he tried to exonerate himself after being framed for the assassinations of the Ukrainian President. This season, Swagger and his team were hunted by Solotov who ended up murdering most of them. The final scenes of the 8th episode including Solotov kidnapping an injured Bob Lee while Julie, Mary and Isaac try to escape the church which Solotov placed a bomb in. Senator Hayes was also revealed as the head of Atlas. In all honesty, this season of Shooter has been very underwhelming. Bob Lee Swagger (Ryan Phillipe) was finally exonerated after being framed for the assassination of the President of the United States at the end of the season. This was such a sigh of relief because I would have hated it if they dragged it on to this season. The episode begins a year after the events of the last season and the Swagger family have moved to Texas to live a quiet life although Julie is having serious difficulties getting over what they went through last year. When he attends a ceremony in Germany to honor one of his friends in his former unit, things go south. Julie harasses the Russian Ambassador to draw attention to the kidnapping of her daughter. Bob Lee impersonates a security guard to be able to get into the Embassy and he successfully gets Mary. The Ambassador, possibly trying to avoid an international incident helps Bob Lee get Mary. They reunite with Julie and instead of just fleeing the country with his family, Bob Lee decides to stay and complete his plan. Krukov put a tracker into the food he gave Mary at the embassy to be able to locate Julie & get Annex B. He sends his men to find Bob Lee and kill him while he went to the motel himself to find Julie & Mary.
