This Is Us Finale Review- "Épisode 18"

The second season of NBC's This Is has been one of the best things I've seen in a a while. I cried, laughed and was left in awe of how amazing these actors are. I couldn't get enough. My favorite episodes were Number One , Number Two , Number Three (Episodes 8, 9 and 10) especially the episode that focused on Kevin. To be honest, I don't think Justin Hartley, Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore are getting enough credit. I wish I could give them all the awards because they deserve it. We finally got to see how Jack died and it's on the list of my worst TV deaths. Even though we all knew that Jack died, I still couldn't watch the episode without crying my eyes out. And the tears kept flowing during the funeral episode. So far, this season, there was a miscarriage, a fire, an accident that led to a DUI, a foster child and a wedding.  So it's finally Kate and Toby's wedding day and it brought up a few feelings for Kate which hopefully were somehow resol...

This Is Us Mid Season Finale- "Number Three"

Add caption  I get emotional every single time I watch an episode of NBC's This Is Us. It's a phenomenal show with an amazing cast that always leaves you wanting more after every episode. Season 2 has been such a ride and even though we still don't know how Jack dies, focusing on Kate, Kevin and Randall in the last three episodes have been awesome. The 2 episodes leading to this week's mid-season finale were darker and more emotional than the others. The story lines are getting more complex and real. So far, they've talked about racism and addiction.  Kevin's episode was where Justin Hartley really showed his skills and I couldn't get enough of him. That episode alone deserves to get him an Emmy nomination. In last night's episode, Jack & Randall visit Howard University and Randall is excited to be around people like him but is a little embarrassed to introduce his father to his friends. Jack calls him out during the drive home and Randall te...

This Is Us- Season Two Premiere Recap "A Father's Advice"

Image via NBC.com It's safe to say no one should watch an episode of This Is Us without a box of tissue close by, because it'll definitely come handy in at least two scenes. The NBC show returned Tuesday night with its second season and it was as emotional as every other episode. Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) get into an argument over who should take care of Kate (Chrissy Metz). She interrupts by reminding them that she's a 37 year old woman who is more than capable of taking care of herself. We'll get more of Kate as she continues to grow and develop herself as a singer, just like her mother. Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) is also having difficulties coming around to the adoption but she ends up suggesting she and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) adopt a child that is already grown and not a baby.  Rebecca-"...He pushed a stranger on me and that stranger became my child and that child became my life. He became you." This is us: Season One Finale- "Moonshadow"

Image via deadline.com This Is Us had a good first season and to be honest I wonder what they'll do next season. I feel like they'll eventually run out of things to do or say. I have never been annoyed that a character did not die, but I felt that way after watching the finale "Moonshadow". Everything the writers did this season built up the audience to prepare for Jack's death, but they surprised everyone by doing something totally different.  This is Us was an emotional roller coaster and I was let down a bit after that finale, I expected more. This season, Randall found his biological father, found out his mother, Rebecca, knew about his father but refused to tell him,  Kevin reunited with his ex wife, Kate got engaged, Randall lost his biological father and quit his job. I cried a few times during this season, especially when it had to do with Randall. Image via Hollywoodreporter.com The fact that his adoptive mother knew about his biological father...
