How To Get Away With Murder Season Four Premiere - "I'm Going Away"

Image via abc.com      The episode begins a few months after Wes' (Alfred Enoch) death and this is a totally different route from the usual murder and court room filled season premieres, this is more character driven. It was revealed last season that Laurel's dad hired a family friend, Dominc, to kill Wes but the reason is still unknown. Annalise invites Connor, Asher, Michaela and Laurel to a dinner but there's a flashback to show how we got there. On her way to see her family on a redemption trip, Annalise meets a man on the plane, Desmond, played by her real life husband, Julius Tennon, and they hit it off. She almost has sex with him but ends up backing out. She also deals with the fact that her mother's dementia was on the rise and they had to take a look at a home for her. We see a totally different side of Annalise and together with Cicely Tyson, they deliver award worthy performances. Connor declines Oliver's proposal while Michaela and Asher go mattres

Chicago PD Season Five Premiere- "Reform"

Image via NBC.com Okay guys! I think it's time I let you all know that I'm  the biggest fan of Dick Wolfe's Chicago PD and it's my favorite ‪procedural at the moment. I was really looking forward to the return because my Wednesday night's never felt the same after the fourth season ended. The first episode of the fifth was really emotional especially because the case affected one of my favorites, Jay Halstead. So here's the story, the Intelligence Unit gets caught in the crossfire with a group of African American guys and Jay's bullet goes through one of the assailants, through a door and ends up hitting a little girl in a daycare. The whole case goes left because it becomes a race thing and they try to make Jay seem like a racist, when he really isn't. The culprit is eventually arrested and Jay is let off the hook. I love the fact that they didn't waste any time beating around the bush about the fact that Erin was no longer in the unit. Jay me

The Blacklist Season Five Premiere- "Smokey Putnum"

Image via tvfanatic.com     So much went down at the end of the fourth season of The Blacklist including the fact that we now know for sure that Reddington is Liz's father. It was also revealed that Mr. Kaplan was Liz's Nanny when she was a child and she swore to her mother that she was going to protect Liz with her life, and she did. Mr. Kaplan waged a war against Red after he shot her and left her for dead when she helped Liz fake her death. Mr. Kaplan had one last stand off with Red but instead of getting arrested, she jumped off a bridge so she is presumably dead. In "Smokey Putnum", Reddington doesn't seem bothered about the fact that his empire was up in flames and the fact that he's broke. But we know how he is, he's very clever and he always has a plan. It was fun watching Liz and Red work together again as a father and daughter duo and the tension between them isn't as much since she found out about his identity as her father. Imag

Designated Survivor Season Two Premiere- "One Year In"

Image via ibtimesindia.com It's been one year since the events of last season and so much has happened with President Kirkman. He's still trying to rebuild the capital and Patrick Lloyd, the mastermind behind the attack is yet to be arrested. Agent Hannah Wells is tracking down Lloyd in Amsterdam and she gets into it with an MI6 Agent, Damian Rennett (Ben Lawson) who's also tracking down Lloyd. Back home, The President is dealing with another crisis involving Ukranian terrorists hijacking a Russian Plane in Chicago. The plane has 165 passengers on board including an old friend of Kirkman's. The terrorists eventually surrender and all the passengers get off except Kirkman's friend who stays back to take care of a sick man. Unfortunately, the spark from the runway causes the passenger's oxygen tank to explode and they both die. Kirkman takes this very hard but is able to give a speech to his employees and motivate them, especially Seth who was almost quittin

This Is Us- Season Two Premiere Recap "A Father's Advice"

Image via NBC.com It's safe to say no one should watch an episode of This Is Us without a box of tissue close by, because it'll definitely come handy in at least two scenes. The NBC show returned Tuesday night with its second season and it was as emotional as every other episode. Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) get into an argument over who should take care of Kate (Chrissy Metz). She interrupts by reminding them that she's a 37 year old woman who is more than capable of taking care of herself. We'll get more of Kate as she continues to grow and develop herself as a singer, just like her mother. Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) is also having difficulties coming around to the adoption but she ends up suggesting she and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) adopt a child that is already grown and not a baby.  Rebecca-"...He pushed a stranger on me and that stranger became my child and that child became my life. He became you." Image via Indiewi

The Sinner's Shocking Finale- Episode 8 Recap

Image via Cartermatt.com WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD!!! The eight episode series based on the book by Petra Hammesfahr started out a little confusing and disturbing, but it ended on a happy note. For the past 7 episodes, the question on my mind has been "why did Cora do it" and the question was finally answered in last night's season finale. We find out that Phoebe died in the arms of Frankie Belmont (Eric Todd) the night she went out with Cora. The most shocking part of the episode was when it was revealed that Frankie's father was responsible for the memory gap Cora experienced. Apparently, after Frankie called him years ago to tell him about Phoebe, he immediately told his son to go home and buried Phoebe's body in the woods with JD. He wanted to kill Cora too but ended up taking her to his house where he covered his face with a ski mask and injected her with drugs for months to stop her from remembering what happened that night. After months of doing

Emmy's 2017: Biggest Snubs and Surprises

There were so many amazing shows that premiered and returned this year and the competition was very tough between the nominees. Show like Feud: Bette and Joan, Stranger Things, The Handmaids Tale, Big Little Lies and Westworld racked up a lot of nominations. Now  that the Emmy's are over and we know the winners, we can focus on the biggest snubs and surprises of the year. These are mine; SNUB- FEUD: BETTE AND JOAN The Ryan Murphy created show starring Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon is one of my favorite shows this year. Everything from the cast, the costumes and the acting was top notch and it lost in all the categories to Big Little Lies. This came off as a shock especially Laura Dern winning the award for "Supporting Actress in a Limited Series"  over Judy Davis. I'm still not over the fact that neither Sarandon  or Lange bagged any award. I fell more in love with them after their performances in FEUD. This was the biggest snub and I'm s
