Homeland Season 7 Finale- "Paean to the People,"

I've been a huge fan of Showtime's Homeland since 2011 and I think it's one of the best shows on TV right now. Season after season, they've continued to prove to the viewers why they deserved all the Emmy awards they received. I never thought it got better after Brody's death but it was still good nonetheless. Claire Danes is such an amazing actress and she delivers once again in the seventh season finale titled  "Paean to the People". To be honest, the sixth and seventh seasons have been  my least favorite mostly because I never got invested in the Elizabeth Keen story line. It was boring to me and I wished Carrie was kicking ass in another country. Although, the season has been quite emotional for Carrie with the loss of custody of Frannie and her struggles with Bipolar Disorder.   I was a bit glad that Carrie left the CIA but somehow she sunk in deeper than ever in season seven to the point of sacrificing herself once again for her nation. When...

Homeland Season 7 Premiere Recap- "Enemy of The State"

Homeland is back people!!! Before season 7 premiered last night, I thought about how the show would look without my beloved Quinn. My mind always flashes back to his death and I get so angry. I still don’t understand why they had to kill his character like that. The most painful thing is that he died protecting the evil President Keane who according to Carrie is a fascist and I couldn’t agree more.  Carrie and Frannie are now living with Carrie’s sister, Maggie, her husband Bill who works for Keane’s Treasury Department and their 16 year old soon-to-become-an-activist daughter, Josie. I still don’t understand how Josie became so big. Wasn’t she a little girl the last time we saw her? Apparently, Saul and about two hundred Intelligence Agents are still locked up in jail. Carrie tells her sister that she’s going for a job interview but that’s just a cover for her to do what she does best. Being a spy! After getting Senator Paley (Dylan Baker) on board with witness protection, ...

Homeland: Season Six Finale- "America First"

Image via ew.com   WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! This season of Showtime's Homeland has been really sad, twisted and filled with a lot of suspense! The episode ended with Carrie wondering if her country has turned her back on her again! Just like when Brody died.  At the beginning of the season, Carrie's client was arrested, framed and set up with explosives in the truck he was driving and of course only Carrie believed he was innocent. Can everyone just listen to Carrie when she has a lead? She's always right! Dar Adaal tortures a senator to get information about the "Toxic Soldier" plan which was designed to turn Quinn into a patsy. The plan was set up without Dar's knowledge so he calls McClendon (Robert Knepper) to confirm but he denies it saying the plan was discussed but not enacted.  Image via usatoday.com    Carrie and Quinn return to Manhattan and they are so sure that something is about to go down and McClendon's team is ...

Homeland Sixth Season Premiere

Image via google.com After so much wait, Homeland which usually premiered around October finally premiered on December 30th, 17 days earlier than it was supposed to. I was more than excited when I saw this, no one is a bigger fan of Homeland than me. L et's get straight to it. The episode picks up months after the events of the last season, and yes, Quinn is alive!! He's one of my favorite characters on the show and I actually thought he was going to die after the very emotional fifth season finale. A few new characters will be added to the cast this season including Madam President Elect played by Elizabeth Marvel, J. Mallory McCree, Dominic Fumusa, Hill Harper and Dominic Knepper. Carrie is back in America and lives in Brooklyn, New York with Frannie and Quinn is struggling physically and emotionally in rehab. He's taking drugs, drinking and hanging out with the wrong people and I'm only praying he gets his act together and goes back to work and please start a r...
