Binge Worthy: Joe is Back to his Old Habits but in a New City- You Season Two Review

Just like Joe was obsessed with Beck and then Love, I've been obsessed with You ever since it premiered on Netflix in December 2018 so I was counting down to its return last December and I ended up binge watching all 10 episodes in less than 48 hours. Its such a addictive show that you find it so hard to stop watching till the final episode and even after that, you just can't get it out of your head. Last season, Joe was in love with Beck and his love for her led to him kidnapping and finally killing her. At the end of season one, Joe's ex girlfriend Candice who he thought he killed paid him a visit and we found out at the beginning of season 2 that she planned to torture him by stalking him and eventually get evidence that would lead to his arrest. If only things could be so straightforward.   This season Joe moves to Los Angeles to hide from Candace and of course he gets a new target. Her name is Love Quinn and she works in Anavrin which is ....wait for it.......

Best TV Shows of 2019

There were so many amazing shows in 2019, from The Crown to Chernobyl to When They See Us and The Act, it was hard to make this list but these shows stood out for me this year and had so many unforgettable performances. In no particular order, here are my favorite shows in 2019 FLEABAG (Season 2) In my 20 something years on this planet, I've seen a lot of shows but I haven't seen a lot of shows that are as good as Fleabag. I've been obsessed with Phoebe Waller-Bridge ever since I saw the BBC Tragi-Comedy. So many emotions came with watching Fleabag. I laughed, cried, chuckled, gasped, etc and I was super sad at the end. I still don't understand how a show can be that good! Phoebe Waller-Bridge must be protected at all costs! The best thing about Fleabag was the way Waller-Bridge broke the fourth-wall. Her story telling skills in Fleabag are unmatched and I couldn't get over how perfect the cast was especially Olivia Coleman, Sian Cliffor, Brett Gelman and And...

Binge Worthy:Ryan Murphy's "The Politician" -Review

Payton Hobart (Ben Platt) is a wealthy student whose plan is to one day become the President of the United States. He has wanted this ever since he was seven years old but first, he has to get through the most dangerous political hurdle of all, Saint Sebastian High School. In order to be the President of Student Body, study at Harvard and continue on his path to becoming  the President of the United States, Payton has to outsmart his ruthless classmates while making sure he doesn't sacrifice his morals. I’m always excited about anything attached to Ryan Murphy and I didn’t know what exactly to expect when I started with the pilot of The Politician but as the story progressed, I got more and more into it and wished it had more episodes.  Ben Platt is an absolute joy to watch as Payton and his characters relationship and chemistry with Gwyneth Paltrow’s Georgina was definitely the best thing about the show. The characters are so interesting and peculiar with Julia ...

Binge Worthy- Ava DuVernay's "When They See Us" Review

When I first read about the Central Park Five story, I was in shock at how these 5 innocent teens were accused and thrown into jail for a crime they knew nothing about. I was angry and sad at the same time and this was exactly how I felt while watching the Ava DuVernay Limited Series. The series is based on the Central Park Jogger case where a 28 year old female jogger was attacked and raped on April 19th, 1989 in Central Park, New York. The attack left her in coma for 12 days and unable to remember the events before or during the attack. Detectives rounded up over 30 young black and hispanic boys and five of them (Kevin Richardson, Antron McCray, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise) were convicted of the crime and spent 6-13 years in prison. In 2002, more than a decade after their conviction, Matias Reyes, a serial rapist serving a life sentence for other crimes confessed to the rape and said he acted alone. At the time of Reyes' confession, the statute of limitation h...

Binge Worthy- Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini in Netflix's "Dead To Me"- Season One Review

"Dead To Me" follows Jen (Christina Applegate) a widow whose husband recently died in a hit-and-run. She meets Judy (Linda Cardellini), an optimistic free spirit who's also mourning , at a grief support group and they quickly become friends.  The Dark Comedy explores the weirdly funny sides of grief, loss and forgiveness. I knew I had to see this show after seeing the trailer and I was hooked at least 5 minutes into the pilot. Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini are amazing  together  on screen and their chemistry is  undeniable. Their conversations look so real that you'd think they were already best friends before starring in the show. I love the mystery surrounding the plot and how they slowly revealed the truth to the viewers. Applegate and Cardellini were amazing as the leads and they put their souls into their characters. I wish they got bigger acting gigs because they're clearly fantastic actresses. I wondered how...

Game of Thrones Series Finale -" The Iron Throne"

I get emotionally attached to shows I really love and my obsession with Game of Thrones has been at an all time high for years. You only get to see very few shows that are so well done with perfect attention to details and Game of Thrones is THAT show! Season one to seven was a thrilling ride and waiting for the final season felt like torture. So much was slated to go down this season and I was ready to see who was finally going to seat on the throne. From The Night King and his army to Cersei and Euron and Dany and her Dragons, there was a lot to squeeze into 6 super sized episodes. Season 8 started well and somehow, the final few episodes didn't leave me feeling excited. "The Knight of The Seven Kingdoms" was definitely my favorite episode this season. It was beautifully filmed and made me truly appreciate these characters we've come to know all these years. There was so much build up surrounding The Night King and his army and I was super hyped to see how it woul...

Winter is Finally Here: Game of Thrones Final Season Premiere

SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ IF YOU'RE YET TO SEE THE EPISODE. After waiting for over a year, Winter finally came for us! I’ve never been this excited about a TV series as I am about Game of Thrones. I always ask myself how a show can be this good and have such a great effect on millions of people all over the world. Before the finale premiered, I made sure I saw the entire 7th & 1st seasons again and random episodes from the 2nd to 6th seasons and it made me understand so many things more than I did when I watched it at first. There were so many things that were said in the first season about the undead, the mad king and Ned Stark’s sister Lyanna that definitely went over my head. Watching it a second time gave me proper understanding and I’m so glad I did. One particular scene that stood out for me was when an old lady told a recently crippled Bran about The Undead and he only thought they were scary stories but I really listened to what she said again and now it makes a...

Game of Thrones Season 8- Everything You Need to Know Before the Finale

Millions of people all over the world (including me) have been waiting and literally counting down to the epic final season of HBO's Game of Thrones and I'm so excited that the moment is almost here.So much went down in the last season and now that winter is finally here, it's important we all catch up and take a quick walk down memory lane. CERSEI LANNISTER Cersei is the current ruler of King's Landing and she's carrying her brother, Jamie's child. She lost all three of her children in the previous seasons with two getting poisoned and one committing suicide by jumping off a window. At the end of season 7, the major contenders for the throne all met for the first time at King's Landing to discuss the forthcoming winter. Cersei feels threatened by Daenerys and her dragons and this led her to borrowing a large sum of money from the Iron Bank to be able to find and create new weapons to protect King's Landing. She also captured Ellaria and poisoned her ...

Penn Badgley is a Psychopathic Stalker in Netflix's "You"- Season One Review

When a bookstore manager crosses paths with an aspiring writer, he uses the internet and social media to get very intimate details about her in order to get close to her and make her fall in love with him. It starts as a crush but quickly escalates to an obsession leading him to quietly and strategically remove any obstacle in his way. Based on Caroline Kepnes' novel of the same name, The Psychological Thriller stars Penn Badgley, Elizabeth Lail and Shay Mitchell. You  is a very dark and twisted show but its also really sexy too. You get to know this really good looking book store manager who has a way with words and is willing to do ANYTHING for the one he loves but it gets really creepy quickly when you realize he thinks love is the ultimate key above every other thing. Joe's good today and bad tomorrow. One minute he's hitting someone with a stone on the head and the next minute he's helping a single mother take care of her son. He's an anti-hero and you...

Best TV Shows (2018)

There were so many great shows this year and they kept popping up everyday which made it really hard to keep up. From Netflix's "Maniac", Hulu's "Homecoming" and BBC's "Cry", it's been an awesome year for TV with some of these shows getting Golden Globe nominations. Below are five of my favorite TV shows in 2018. 5. SHARP OBJECTS I'm not one to stay away from anything starring Amy Adams because her talent as an actress cannot be denied and she proved it yet again in the HBO Psychological Mystery where she played a disturbed Journalist  tasked with writing and investigating some mysterious murders in her small home town. I knew Sharp Objects was going to be good but I wasn't expecting my mind to be blown away by the fantastic story and acting especially from Amy Adams and the stunning Patricia Clarkson. I was glad I didn't read the book it was based on by Gillian Flynn because I probably wouldn't have been as shocked...
