Review - Crazy People (2018)

Ramsey Nouah stars in Moses Inwang’s “Crazy People” as a famous Nollywood star who returns to the limelight after a one year hiatus to track down his imposter. Together with his manager, Lucinda (Chigul) they try to find this imposter and stop him from taking more jobs from the real Ramsey. After seeing the trailer for this film, I wasn’t hyped in any way to see it even though Nouah is one of my favorite Nollywood actors. Recently, he hasn’t really been in movies worth talking about. The last was 76’ with Rita Dominic and I haven’t been impressed since then. I have been disappointed time after time with Nollywood films but I’m not ready to give up, so I gave Crazy People a try. The cast was alright and they gave a solid performance but they were a lot of unnecessary scenes I wish stayed out of the film. It was also too long for such a thin plot. There were a few issues with the sound in the beginning and a lot of scenes were very unrealistic. Lucinda is in a psychiatric faci

Review- Deadpool 2 (2018)

Image via Imdb.com We're in the era where movie theaters are packed with people watching Superhero movie every other week. A lot of people, including me count down to the days when our favorite movies premiere and that was exactly the case with Deadpool 2 .Wade Wilson aka Deadpool brings together a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy with supernatural abilities from the brutal, time-traveling mutant, Cable. After watching countless promos, I was sure that this movie was going to be amazing. And it was! I've never seen a marketing campaign more ferocious than Deadpool's! Every single picture or video they released was a hit.To be completely honest, the first Deadpool didn't really do it for me. I enjoyed it but I didn't think it was as fantastic as everyone said it was. It felt a bit forced. Image via Imdb.com  But this sequel was worth every single hype. Ryan Reynolds was the perfect actor for this role and once again, he killed his p

Review- Breaking In (2018)

Image via Imdb.com     Being Mary Jane’s Gabrielle Union stars as Shaun, a mother who arrives with her two children to a remote Wisconsin house owned by her recently murdered father. When they arrived, they are attacked by four armed men who plan to steal her father’s ill gotten millions and burn the house to the ground. They hold Shaun’s kids (Ajiona Alexus and Seth Carr) captive and lock Shaun out of the very high-security home. It's left to Shaun to find a way to rescue her kids from the criminals. After seeing the trailer for Breaking In, I knew it was definitely going to be a very predictable popcorn flick, and that was exactly what it was. I wish they proved me wrong with the plot and did something out of the box, but they didn’t. We’ve seen this story a billion times and very few of them get it right, sadly this wasn’t really one of them. It was an average film and if I’m being honest, I probably wouldn’t have seen it if it didn’t star Union. Of course, she deliv

Benedict Cumberbatch is a Troubled Addict in Patrick Melrose

I consider Benendict Cumberbatch as one of my favorite actors so I was so excited when it was announced that he would play the very troubled titular character of Showtime 's Patrick Melrose. Cumberbatch is a phenomenal actor and I knew he was going to be superb in this role. There's just something about him and the characters he plays and I'm not ashamed to say I'm a bit obsessed with the Sherlock actor. The five-part mini-series based on the acclaimed novels by Edward St. Aubyn tracks Patrick from a privileged but deeply traumatic childhood in the South of France through severe substance abuse in his twenties in New York and, ultimately, toward recovery back home in Britain. I couldn't think of anyone more fit to play this role than Cumberbatch. It was intense, funny and filled with a lot of emotion. Patrick has regular mood swings and through flash backs we see that he was abused by his father when he was much younger. He was an addict and within the first

Cancelled or Renewed: Did Your Favourite Show Make the Cut?

Okay guys! The networks aren't smiling and it's a bloodbath right now because at least 15 shows have been cancelled within 24 hours. Brooklyn Nine Nine was cancelled by FOX but NBC picked it up for a sixth season less than 24 hours later and this made me so happy because I know how good the show is. Some of my personal faves like The Good Fight, The Handmaids Tale, How To Get Away With Murder and Black-ish were also renewed. Quantico, Designated Survivor, Lucifer, Inhumans and The Mick were not so lucky as they've all been axed by their networks. Check out the list; RENEWED BROOKLYN NINE NINE HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER BLACK-ISH THE HANDMAIDS TALE BLINDSPOT THE 100 STATION 19 FOR THE PEOPLE STAR EMPIRE THE GOOD FIGHT CHICAGO PD GREY'S ANATOMY DYNASTY CANCELLED QUANTICO DESIGNATED SURVIVOR LUCIFER THE EXORCIST TAKEN LIFE SENTENCE VALOR   DECEPTION KEVIN (PROBABLY) SAVES THE WORLD MARVEL'S INHUMANS THE CROS
