Review- Den Of Thieves (2018)

Image via Imdb.con     Den of Thieves is a Crime Heist film which follows the lives of an elite unit of the LA County Sheriff's Department and the state's most successful bank robbery crew as the outlaws hatch up a plan to rob the city's Federal Reserve Bank. If I'm being totally honest, I didn't expect so much from this film mostly because the plot is nothing original. A crew plans a heist, the police finds out and tries to stop them, they know they shouldn't go forward with the job but they do it anyways because they simply want more money, they get into a gun battle with the police, at least two people from both sides ends up dying, one of the robbers ends up with the money, the end. I'll admit, they did their best with the story and I really loved Pablo Schreiber as Merrimen. I think he's a really good actor and he's just a few movies away from his break out role. Gerard Butler did a descent job but 50 Cent didn't do much and had very

Shameless Season 8 Finale Review: "Sleepwalking

This season of Shameless has been a roller coaster for the Ghallager’s. Frank got a job, lost it and smuggled people to Canada for a while, Fiona hooked up with a man whose seeds were planted in a lot of women and had a lot of exes. She was also sued for 6 million dollars and almost lost her house and car. Lip lost his favorite Professor, stopped drinking and finally got back with Sierra. Ian became the “Gay Jesus”, Debbie started welding and then lost her toes and Carl got married to a psycho. Yes, Kassidi is insane. I almost forgot about Kev, V & Svetlana. At the beginning of the season, Kev found his long lost family but they were Red Necks and racists, so V didn’t want Kev to have anything to do with them. They also got Svetlana arrested but helped her get out only if they get back their 50% of the bar. Towards the end of the season, they started searching for a rich old man for Svetlana so when he dies, she’ll get all his money.

Review- Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018)

Image via Imdb.com Maze Runner: The Death Cure is the final chapter of the Maze Runner trilogy starring Dylan O’Brien. The first chapter titled The Maze Runner and it’s sequel, The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials did amazing at the box office and I have no doubt that this will do the same. In this chapter, Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his friends embark on a dangerous mission to save their friend, MinHo (Ki Hong Lee) from the clutches of WCKD. They encounter a lot of obstacles and they must all fight to save their lives and the lives of others.  Image via Imdb.com The first chapter of this film was undoubtedly the best. It was quite intense and had a lot of mystery. The Scorch Trails felt more like a horror film and it was my least favorite of the trilogy. I’ve been crazy about Dylan O’Brien ever since his Teen Wolf days and I loved the fact that he was the protagonist in this film series. He has come such a long way from Beacon Hills and he did an awesome job with his role. Kaya

Review- Proud Mary (2018)

Image via imdb.com     Golden Globe winner, Taraji P. Henson stars in Proud Mary as a hit woman working for an organized crime family whose life takes a different turn when she crosses paths with a young boy during an assassination job. I’m a huge fan of Taraji and I’m always excited to see whatever she stars in but unfortunately, Proud Mary was a terrible choice for her. She killed the role, as usual, but even her amazing acting wasn’t able to save this film. I don’t think the other cast members were the right fit for their roles, especially Danny Glover as a mob boss. There was nothing scary or intimidating about him and I just found his scenes funny. Billy Brown is a fantastic actor and he’s amazing in How To Get Away With Murder but I didn’t particularly love him here. I think Jahi Di’Allo Winston as Danny did a better job.  Image via imdb.com    Proud Mary's plot was thin and the script was very cliche. I expected it to be a little predictable, just like a lo

Review- The Commuter (2018)

Image via imdb.com     The Commuter follows the story of Michael McCauley played by the one and only Liam Neeson and the movie begins with an introduction to his character and family. We get to know his daily routine of waking up by 6am and taking the commuter train to his work at an Insurance company. One day, out of the blue, Michael gets fired and while on the train back home, he is approached by a mysterious woman named Joanna ( Vera Farmiga ) and she makes him an offer. He needs to identify the passenger who doesn’t belong on the train and he gets a $100,000. It’s left to Michael to decide if he wants to take the offer or decline and lose his family and probably everyone on the train.  Image via imdb.com    I’ve been a huge fan of action star, Liam Neeson since his days as Bryan Mills in Taken and I always look forward to his movies mostly because a large percentage of them are filled with intense, edge-of-your-seat action and The Commuter was no different. Neeson

American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace

Image via imdb.com    The second season of Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story anthology series focuses on the murder of Fashion Icon Gianni Versace  i n 1997 by spree killer Andrew Cunanan in front of his Miami Beach home. The nine-episode season is based on the book, Vulgar Favors by Maureen Orth. The first episode is super stylish, beautiful and colorful with characters brought to life by phenomenal actors.  No one could have done it better than Darren Criss who plays Cunanan. He has certainly left his Glee days behind and taken up this murderous character with so much fervour. I smell an Emmy coming for him next year. Édgar Ramírez plays Versace while Penélope Cruz plays his sister, Donatella Versace   and Ricky Martin plays his partner Antonio D’ Amico .  The episode begins with the activities of the morning that led to the murder and there’s a flashback of how Cunanan and Versace met back in 1990. Cunanan stalked and tracked Versace to the VIP area of a ga
