Review- The Bridge (2017)

Directed by Kunle Afolayan, The Bridge follows the tragic story of Stella (Chidinma Ekile) & Obadare (Demola Adedoyin), two people from different cultures who fall in love with each other but are unable to have their happy ending because of their families. I never turn down the opportunity to see a Kunle Afolayan film mostly because he's one of my favorite Nollywood film makers and he once again did a great job with The Bridge. This is the first film starring Project Fame winner Chidinma Ekile and to be honest, I wasn't really satisfied with her acting. It seemed like she was holding back a bit. Zack Orji never disappoints and I loved every scene with Tina Mba. She's such an amazing actress. The best part about The Bridge were the costumes and the way they showcased the most colorful part about the Nigerian culture.

I got really emotional when Dare met Stella's parents to give them the tragic news. I can't deny the fact that Demola Adedoyin is also a really good actor and he had great chemistry with Chidinma. No film is without flaws and The Bridge had a few of them. The fact that Dare didn't go to ask Stella's hand in marriage from her father is something that doesn't happen often. He would have at least tried and maybe get thrown out of the house by Stella's father before they signed the marriage documents at the court. I also think that everything could have been wrapped up in and hour, thirty minutes. Another very obvious mistake took place during the last few scenes Dare was taken to Stella's house. His breathing was very obvious and it's something that could have been avoided. The last scene with Stella and Dare looked really fake. Maybe they would have had them walk away instead of standing in the fake flowers. I couldn't help but laugh out loud at how ridiculous it looked.Even with the few flaws, The Bridge was still able to pass across it's message.  The fact that some parents stop their children from getting married to whoever they want, simply because they're from different states or ethnic groups is very tragic. The Bridge was an unpredictable film with a very powerful story and it's very different from the regular Nollywood films we see everyday. Thumbs up to Kunle Afolayan for giving us another one for the books. Go see The Bridge now, while it's still showing in the cinemas.

  1. Is Godzilla stronger than King Kong ?
While size isn't everything, it's undeniable that Godzilla is visibly stronger and larger than Kong. ... However, Godzilla's application of strength in Godzilla and Godzilla: King of the Monsters seems limited. He tackles opponents, rips open jaws and whacks targets with his tail.

  2. Cranberry Juice works brilliantly when it comes to passing the drug tests and eliminating THC metabolites. While it does not entirely hide or mask the THC in your system, it is excellent in terms of flushing it out like several other home remedies. How it does this is what makes it so reliable and helpful. Therefore, cranberry is a classic, last-minute option if all else has failed for you. Yikes. Some states are catching wise to synthetic urine tests for drugs, and have either banned the urine kits or simply made faking a specimen a crime. Visit: https://www.urineworld.com/

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I cried for two episodes straight) which means

"Don't Tell Mama"- The Shocking Sharp Objects Season Finale

Sharp Objects easily tops the list of my all time favorite TV Series. The HBO Limited Series aired it eight and final episode last night and it's something I'll probably never forget. I'm trying so hard to find the right words to describe this amazing show and the phenomenal acting from Amy Adams, Patricia Clarkson and Eliza Scanlen. They were just too perfect. Throughout the season, we've all been trying to figure out who the killer was in this whodunnit and I had so many theories. I never believed it was John Keene because most times, it's always the person you least expect that'll end up being the perpetrator. My first suspect was Alan (Henry Czerny), Adora's husband and Amma's father. I thought the only reason he would venture out to killing teenage girls was due to the fact that he was no longer as had a bond with his daughter and his loveless marriage but I was so wrong. Then I thought it was the Police Chief, Bill who was in cahoots with Ado

Chicago Justice: Series Premiere/Crossover Episode-"Fake"

Image via imdb.com I looked forward to seeing Chicago Justice after it was announced because I love the One Chicago universe even though I'm yet to see the other shows, i'm very familiar with their stories and characters. I'm a crazy fan of Chicago PD so I'm going to binge watch all the episodes of Chicago Fire, but I don't think I'll be able to see Chicago Med. Medical shows are too emotional for me. With Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, I don't know where to start from, but I'll binge watch from season one to eighteen whenever I can for sure.  The four part crossover started with an episode on Chicago Fire and concluded in the season premiere of Chicago Justice. There is a fire at a warehouse and the Chicago Fire crew think it's an accident but Severide (Taylor Kinney) finds metal wedges shoved under the door which means whoever started the fire wanted everyone trapped inside, so its arson.
