Review- Crazy Rich Asians (2018)

The story follows native New Yorker Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young (Henry Golding), to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick's family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. It turns out that he is not only the son of one of the country's wealthiest families but also one of its most sought-after bachelors. Being on Nick's arm puts a target on Rachel's back, with jealous socialites and, worse, Nick's own disapproving mother (Michelle Yeoh) taking aim. And it soon becomes clear that while money can't buy love, it can definitely complicate things.
There was so much hype surrounding Crazy Rich Asians especially after the premiere and this made me more excited to see it. I was particularly excited about seeing Michelle Yeoh and Constance Wu and I'm so glad that they brought their A Game to the film with their fantastic acting. There's something about Yeoh's acting, it always seems so effortless and flawless. I didn't expect anything less from the legend. Wu and Golding also had an almost perfect chemistry while Awkwafina was fantastic as the comic relief. I love Romantic Comedies and no matter how over-flogged they are, I'll still be the first to purchase a ticket when a Rom-Com premieres in the cinema. I love the fact that they can take you to the Fantasy world where everything is so perfect and beautiful. I felt the same way with Crazy Rich Asians. Everything was so glamorous and beautiful, especially the visuals. They made me want to drop everything I had going on and get the next ticket to Singapore. The Cinematography was breathtakingly gorgeous. It was a simple story but it was told in a really captivating way. The humor wasn't forced and for some reason, I loved the cliche dialogue.
I'll be lying if I said Crazy Rich Asians blew my mind. The story was entertaining due to the fantastic acting from the cast and the stunning visuals. Nothing unexpected happened during the course of the film. You can literally predict what happens in the film immediately it starts and you'll end up being 100% correct. It was a feel good movie that showcased the rich Asian culture and diversity, which we rarely see in Hollywood films. Crazy Rich Asians was a very delightful film which Every Rom-Com lover should to see.

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I cried for two episodes straight) which means

Review- Who's The Boss (2020)

Directed by Chinaza Onuzo, "Who's The Boss" follows Liah (Sharon Ooja) , an Advertising Executive who struggles to climb the cooperate ladder while juggling her mean and vindictive boss Hauwa (Funke Akindele- Bello). She takes the advice of her best friend Jumoke (Ini Dima-Okojie) and enlists her friend Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu), a known play boy into posing as her boss but ends up falling for him. It doesn't get any more cliche than this. After watching the first teaser for the Inkblot comedy, I was a little intrigued and looked forward to seeing how they were going to pull it off but sadly, it fell short in more ways than one. The biggest issue I had was the lead character and the actress cast to play it. Ooja has been typecast and I thought seeing her as the lead would show us a different side to the actress but my perception of her acting skills are worse than before. There's nothing worth remembering about this story and her acting did nothing to el
