Ghost is Back for Revenge in Power's Season Five Premiere- "Everyone is Implicated"

Power is back guys!!!! I've been waiting a year to hear that theme song and I’m excited because it still has the same effect on me. Raina is dead, now what? The ultimate trio- Ghost, Tommy & Kanan- are our out for blood and revenge for her death and it’s so thrilling to watch. Tommy & Ghost had no other option but to team up with the evil un-burnt Kanan to clean up the mess he (kanan) created. I still don’t know how Ghost & his bestie are so comfortable teaming up with Kanan when he was the reason everything happened. If he didn’t mess with Tariq’s head, maybe things wouldn’t have gotten so bad. For some reason, I was happy to see Jerry Ferrara as Proctor again. Poor Turtle. He’s constantly dragged into Ghost’s violent lifestyle even when he tries to stay away. After everything that’s happened, one would have hoped that Tariq would at least become a bit smarter in his decision making but he’s still the same old Tariq. Michael Rainey.Jr is doing such a good job with this character. You literally feel like killing him every time you see his face pop up on the screen. “Everyone is Implicated” including Ghost’s former lover, Angela who ends up doing something that could get her disbarred. Angela is caught in the middle of Ghost & Tasha’s drama and she wants to stay away but she knows she has to help or she’s going to get caught and end up in jail.

The acting from the cast was amazing especially from Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Joseph Sikora and surprisingly, LaLa Anthony. You could feel how hurt they were about Raina’s death and how they were willing to do anything to bring her killer to justice. I love the fact that Dre is the main villain this season. We’ve all seen how he grew from that guy who was scared to death of Kanan and would do anything he demanded, to the one running things and having back up from the big guys. I must say, Rotimi Akinosho plays this character really well. He’s not the type of villain that looks weak and not scary. He’s ready to blow up anything and anyone that stands in his way. Now it’s left to Ghost, Tommy and Kanan to take care of him. For good this time!
Power has been so consistent since it premiered in 2014 and they keep getting better with each season. The fifth episode premiere is once again a reminder of why we love this show so much. It was filled with so many emotions, very good acting and just enough action to keep you pumped throughout the episode. A new episode of Power airs next sunday.

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I cried for two episodes straight) which means

Review- Who's The Boss (2020)

Directed by Chinaza Onuzo, "Who's The Boss" follows Liah (Sharon Ooja) , an Advertising Executive who struggles to climb the cooperate ladder while juggling her mean and vindictive boss Hauwa (Funke Akindele- Bello). She takes the advice of her best friend Jumoke (Ini Dima-Okojie) and enlists her friend Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu), a known play boy into posing as her boss but ends up falling for him. It doesn't get any more cliche than this. After watching the first teaser for the Inkblot comedy, I was a little intrigued and looked forward to seeing how they were going to pull it off but sadly, it fell short in more ways than one. The biggest issue I had was the lead character and the actress cast to play it. Ooja has been typecast and I thought seeing her as the lead would show us a different side to the actress but my perception of her acting skills are worse than before. There's nothing worth remembering about this story and her acting did nothing to el
