Review- Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018)

Maze Runner: The Death Cure is the final chapter of the Maze Runner trilogy starring Dylan O’Brien. The first chapter titled The Maze Runner and it’s sequel, The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials did amazing at the box office and I have no doubt that this will do the same. In this chapter, Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his friends embark on a dangerous mission to save their friend, MinHo (Ki Hong Lee) from the clutches of WCKD. They encounter a lot of obstacles and they must all fight to save their lives and the lives of others.

The first chapter of this film was undoubtedly the best. It was quite intense and had a lot of mystery. The Scorch Trails felt more like a horror film and it was my least favorite of the trilogy. I’ve been crazy about Dylan O’Brien ever since his Teen Wolf days and I loved the fact that he was the protagonist in this film series. He has come such a long way from Beacon Hills and he did an awesome job with his role. Kaya Scodelario did a good job as Teresa and you could see how much she was struggling with which side to stick with. She was caught between WCKD and Thomas but she genuinely wanted to find a cure. Rosa Salazar as Brenda was pretty bad ass. Although, for the first few minutes of the film, I thought she was Teresa. Am I the only one that felt like they really looked alike? Aiden Gillen as the bad guy made Death Cure more interesting to watch.

The plot was a bit thin and I wish it was a bit more complicated but it still worked nonetheless. It got a bit cheesy and predictable but I loved the theme of friendship that was explored through out the series. When compared to other film series like The Hunger Games and Divergent, this was way better. The cinematography and musics score was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. The trilogy wasn’t perfect but they did a decent job with The Death Cure. I enjoyed watching this film and I don’t recommend you see it if you haven’t seen the first two chapters. It was a very satisfying film to watch and it definitely wasn't a waste of time and money.

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I cried for two episodes straight) which means

Review- Who's The Boss (2020)

Directed by Chinaza Onuzo, "Who's The Boss" follows Liah (Sharon Ooja) , an Advertising Executive who struggles to climb the cooperate ladder while juggling her mean and vindictive boss Hauwa (Funke Akindele- Bello). She takes the advice of her best friend Jumoke (Ini Dima-Okojie) and enlists her friend Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu), a known play boy into posing as her boss but ends up falling for him. It doesn't get any more cliche than this. After watching the first teaser for the Inkblot comedy, I was a little intrigued and looked forward to seeing how they were going to pull it off but sadly, it fell short in more ways than one. The biggest issue I had was the lead character and the actress cast to play it. Ooja has been typecast and I thought seeing her as the lead would show us a different side to the actress but my perception of her acting skills are worse than before. There's nothing worth remembering about this story and her acting did nothing to el
