Review- Rampage (2018)

Dwayne Johnson stars as Primatologist Davis Okoye, a man who shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, incredibly rare albino silverback gorilla who has been in his care since he rescued the young orphan from poachers. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with discredited geneticist Kate Caldwell (Naomie Harris) to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.
I've always been a huge fan of Dwayne Johnson and I never turn down the opportunity to see his films. I'm always down for whatever he's cooking and even though it scores 1% on Rotten Tomatoes, I'll still see it with joy. I think he's one actor that can sell the most ridiculous films to audience members. To be honest,  I wasn't really interested in seeing Rampage mostly because of the whole Gorilla story line. I've never been a fan of movies that included Gorilla's because it just looked really weird to me. Anyways, I went ahead and saw Rampage and I thought it was a pretty descent film. Not a lot of movies based on video games make a lot of sense but to an extent, Rampage did. I didn't think there was anything spectacular about the story line but I wasn't expecting anything mind blowing from a movie based on a video game so I just went with the flow. It was filled with a lot of action with really good CGI. Naomi Harris did a good job as Davis' side kick, Malin Ackerman and Jake Lacy were great as the villains and it was a delight watching Jefferey Dean Morgan. Rampage is very loud and filled with a lot of gory scenes. It also had a bit of humor which I absolutely loved. This is the type of film you see on a big screen, it was fun and entertaining. And yes, it's a very forgettable film because the story isn't something out of this world. At the end of the day, it wasn't a horrible film but it wasn't fantastic either.

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I cried for two episodes straight) which means

Review- Who's The Boss (2020)

Directed by Chinaza Onuzo, "Who's The Boss" follows Liah (Sharon Ooja) , an Advertising Executive who struggles to climb the cooperate ladder while juggling her mean and vindictive boss Hauwa (Funke Akindele- Bello). She takes the advice of her best friend Jumoke (Ini Dima-Okojie) and enlists her friend Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu), a known play boy into posing as her boss but ends up falling for him. It doesn't get any more cliche than this. After watching the first teaser for the Inkblot comedy, I was a little intrigued and looked forward to seeing how they were going to pull it off but sadly, it fell short in more ways than one. The biggest issue I had was the lead character and the actress cast to play it. Ooja has been typecast and I thought seeing her as the lead would show us a different side to the actress but my perception of her acting skills are worse than before. There's nothing worth remembering about this story and her acting did nothing to el
