Review- Avengers: Infinty War (2018)

Image via IMDB.com
I’ve been looking forward to Infinity War for months and to be very honest, I don't think I’ve looked forward to any movie as much as I looked forward to this one.  I was really excited about Black Panther and I couldn’t stop talking about it for weeks but I was speechless after the post-credits scene of Infinity War. I kept asking myself how a movie could be this amazing. How do they even do it? Thanos emerged from the shadows to collect all the Infinity Stones and destroy whoever was in his way. He needed the stones to control everything and everyone. The fate of the world was uncertain and everything the Avengers had done led them to this particular moment.

When last did we see huge actors and characters in one screen? I can’t remember. Infinity War is one of the biggest films of 2018 and probably the best Marvel movie yet because they got everything right about making a superhero film. I didn’t expect anything less from this caliber of cast and they certainly didn’t disappoint. The acting was amazing and I particularly loved Josh Brolin as the very evil Thanos. A villain is supposed to be feared, vicious and intimidating and he had these characteristics and more. I was scared for the Avengers and I kept wondering how they were going to defeat him. Each character shone individually and their chemistry was over the roof. I was stunned at how amazing the action scenes were. It was so well choreographed, especially the climax.

I may be reaching but I thought Infinity War was perfect. Not like I expected anything less from a Marvel movie but I think the result surpassed my expectations. The CGI was flawless and I loved the dark tone. They were able to put together different story lines in one epic film and it was very entertaining to watch. I laughed hard when it was funny and I kept screaming during some of the Action scenes. I literally couldn't control my emotions. It had just the right amount of humor and emotion to keep you going through two hours, thirty minutes. I didn’t even know when the time went by because each scene was better than the last. The final ten minutes were mind blowing and heartbreaking. Anthony and Joe Russo did an amazing job with this one. Infinity War lived up to its hype and I sincerely can’t wait for the next film which is set to premiere May 3, 2019.

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I cried for two episodes straight) which means

Review- Who's The Boss (2020)

Directed by Chinaza Onuzo, "Who's The Boss" follows Liah (Sharon Ooja) , an Advertising Executive who struggles to climb the cooperate ladder while juggling her mean and vindictive boss Hauwa (Funke Akindele- Bello). She takes the advice of her best friend Jumoke (Ini Dima-Okojie) and enlists her friend Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu), a known play boy into posing as her boss but ends up falling for him. It doesn't get any more cliche than this. After watching the first teaser for the Inkblot comedy, I was a little intrigued and looked forward to seeing how they were going to pull it off but sadly, it fell short in more ways than one. The biggest issue I had was the lead character and the actress cast to play it. Ooja has been typecast and I thought seeing her as the lead would show us a different side to the actress but my perception of her acting skills are worse than before. There's nothing worth remembering about this story and her acting did nothing to el
