Review- Game Night (2018)

Image via imdb.com
Bateman and McAdams star as Max and Annie, whose weekly couples game night gets kicked up a notch when Max's charismatic brother, Brooks (Kyle Chandler), arranges a murder mystery party, complete with fake thugs and FBI Agents. Brooks gets kidnapped and they all think it's still part of the game until the clues leads them to discover that it may be more than just a game. Without any rules or points, the night turns into a very chaotic one as they try to find Brooks.

When I saw the trailer for Game Night, I knew it was going to be off the chains and I'm so glad because It was way better than I expected it to be. Jason Bateman never disappoints and his chemistry with his co-star Rachel McAdams was awesome. Jesse Plemons, Sharon Horgan, Billy Magnussen, Lamorne Morris, Kylie Bunbury and Kyle Chandler were phenomenal as the supporting cast members and were all hilarious to watch. Plemons stole every scene he starred in as the very creepy and awkward Officer Gary. I couldn't get enough of Bateman and McAdams especially the bullet scene. This is the first time I'm seeing McAdams in a comedy role and she was so fun to watch. I was literally in tears for the most part of this film. The story flowed seamlessly and was genuinely funny. It had a perfect balance of witty banter, plot twists and a bit of emotion. The humor isn't forced and it was a blast from the beginning to the end. I'm still cracking up just thinking about some of the scenes. Its really hard to find a comedy film that would make you laugh out so loud and Game Night did exactly that. It's one of the best comedies I've seen in a long time and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. What's stopping you from seeing Game Night? Go see it now!!

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I c...

Goodbye Mike & Rachel- Suits' Seventh Season Finale Review

Suits is one of my favorite Legal Drama's and for some reason, I'm still very invested in the show after 7 seasons. I don't think they've had any bad season and they've done such a great job with the growth and development of the major characters but the time to say goodbye to Mike and Rachel was finally here. Due to the fact that Meghan Markle would be getting married to Prince Harry, I guess it was a good time to wrap up her love story with Mike and they do this with the fairy tale wedding we've all been waiting for. Mike and Rachel have been an item since the first season and have been engaged since the fifth. They would have been married a season ago but were not able to because of Mike's time in prison. I always loved their chemistry and I was so sad to see them say goodbye and more than anything, I loved Mike and Harvey's relationship. It was so genuine and pure. The two final episodes of the final season of Suits aired back to back and...

Snowfall Season One Finale Review- "The Rubicon"

There's no denying that this season has been intense for the four major characters and everyone around them. The first season of Snowfall was all over the place but the by the 8th episode, I was convinced the writers finally got their thoughts together. The pilot episode was good and I felt this was a show I was going to fall in love with, but it became a struggle to watch after the third episode.  They got my attention back after Leon was shot in the final scene of the 8th episode. Franklin got himself into a very dangerous business which I still think he hasn't fully realized. He wants to hustle hard and make sure he's mom doesn't have to bother herself about anything, but she's disappointed when she finds out about her son's extra curricular activities. The neighborhood knows that he's the boss and he's really all about the money.  Damson Idris brings his character of Franklin to life and I couldn't see anyone else playing this role. He's ...
