Review- 12 strong (2018)

    Based on the book "Horse Soldiers" by Doug Stanton, 12 Strong stars Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon, Michael Peña, Navid Negahban, Trevante Rhodes, Geoff Stults, Thad Luckinbill, William Fichtner, and Rob Riggle star in this True Life War Drama about the first Special Forces team deployed to Afghanistan weeks after the 9/11 attacks. Under the leadership of a new captain, the team must work with an Afghan warlord to take down the Taliban. I never pass the opportunity to see a True Life film. Mostly because they’re always so raw and I get emotional thinking about what the real people went through. The actors did a good job with their roles and Mr Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth did a fantastic job as the lead. I think Navid Negahban as General Abdul Rashid Dostum was my favorite cast and actor in this film. It was obvious that he was willing to do anything to bring down the Taliban with or without the help of the Americans.

    The war in Afghanistan is truly terrible and the fact that it’s still going on is a very sad thing to think about. These soldiers are fueled by the thoughts of The World Trade Center blowing up and all the thousands of Americans that died. I must say, the action scenes were pretty good. Not "Hacksaw Ridge" gory but awesome nonetheless. The war scenes were so well choreographed, the music score was descent and the sound was excellent. This movie is also very intense. I was literally on the edge of my seat for the most part of the film. I also loved how it was filmed with the audience getting a feel of the beautiful mountain terrace, the caves and the dessert. I don't know how accurate 12 Strong is when compared to the actual story and how realistic some of the scenes were but they portrayed these 12 heroes in the best way possible and told a story a lot of people weren't familiar with. I loved 12 Strong, but I was left feeling it could have been better. It seemed like they were trying to keep it safe and clean and ended up being just like every other war film. Nevertheless, I genuinely enjoyed watching this film and I suggest you go see it too.

Goodbye Mike & Rachel- Suits' Seventh Season Finale Review

  Suits is one of my favorite Legal Drama's and for some reason, I'm still very invested in the show after 7 seasons. I don't think they've had any bad season and they've done such a great job with the growth and development of the major characters but the time to say goodbye to Mike and Rachel was finally here. Due to the fact that Meghan Markle would be getting married to Prince Harry, I guess it was a good time to wrap up her love story with Mike and they do this with the fairy tale wedding we've all been waiting for. Mike and Rachel have been an item since the first season and have been engaged since the fifth. They would have been married a season ago but were not able to because of Mike's time in prison. I always loved their chemistry and I was so sad to see them say goodbye and more than anything, I loved Mike and Harvey's relationship. It was so genuine and pure. SUITS: Season 6 finale

        The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I c...
