Shades of Blue: Season Two Premiere- "Unforgiving"

Image via nbc.com
At the end of the first season, Harlee (Jennifer Lopez) snapped the neck of Miguel, her daughter's father, and Wozniak turned himself to the FBI. Harlee looks a bit terrified and confused after killing Miguel but she had to quickly dispose the body. She raps him in her shower curtain and buries him on top of Saperstein's body after removing his teeth. She goes back to the office and Woz isn't back, everyone is wondering where he is. When he gets back to the office, he tells Harlee to follow him and she thinks he wants to talk. She gets into the car, he plays the tape Agent Stahl gave him of Harlee and starts driving. While the tape plays, Harlee tries to explain and apologize to Woz but he doesn't say a word. They stop at a building and Woz attacks a stranger in front of the building and puts his blood on the door to give them probable cause to go inside. Harlee thinks the bust is a loyalty test so she goes with it. They arrest the men inside and Woz ditches Harlee.

Apparently they arrested high ranking members of the mafia so their arrest was questioned. Woz accepts a deal from Stahl to escape prison time and Harlee wants to know what was included in this deal. She accuses Stahl of doing everything out of spite and she could have planted the evidence against the mafia without Woz's help but Stahl says the mafia isn't the target. He's only interested in the person that helthe mafia escape charges and he had his eyes on the District Attorney's Office and Woz would give him the access he needed.

Harlee sends a text message to her daughter's phone with Miguel's phone saying he was gone and didn't want her to call. That same night at Woz's house she tries to talk to Woz but he flips out asking her if she knew Stahl's target was their friend Julia Ayres but she says she didn't know. Harlee tells Woz that she didn't know was about Julia being the target but he doesn't believe her. He says he'll never ever trust her again after she betrayed him.

Jennifer Lopez is doing an amazing job Harlee Santos, the single mother who can do literally anything to make sure her daughter is okay. She's the dirty cop we can't help but love. Woz no longer trusts her and it's going to affect her in so many ways. Without Woz protecting her, how's she going to cope? Does this mean no more dirty cop money for Harlee? How would the other members of the team react when they find out, they'll have to find out eventually about the whole deal with Harlee and Woz. I feel a little sad for the supporting cast members to be honest, because it feels like they hardly get screen time and even if they do its just for a few seconds. I'm still concerned with Stahl's creepy fantasies about Harlee. Those scenes only make me see how sleazy Stahl can be. Loyalties are going to be questioned this season and I think someone is going to look for Miguel and connect it to Harlee. I have a good feeling it might be Nava, but maybe after he goes on several dates with Harlee. Shades of Blue is an okay show but its not on my top 10 list of Police Procedurals. The first season was really good but not fantastic, they'll have to step up their game this season or it'll just be another Crime Drama without a fantastic story line. Shades of Blue Season Two premiered on March 5 on NBC.

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I cried for two episodes straight) which means

Review- Who's The Boss (2020)

Directed by Chinaza Onuzo, "Who's The Boss" follows Liah (Sharon Ooja) , an Advertising Executive who struggles to climb the cooperate ladder while juggling her mean and vindictive boss Hauwa (Funke Akindele- Bello). She takes the advice of her best friend Jumoke (Ini Dima-Okojie) and enlists her friend Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu), a known play boy into posing as her boss but ends up falling for him. It doesn't get any more cliche than this. After watching the first teaser for the Inkblot comedy, I was a little intrigued and looked forward to seeing how they were going to pull it off but sadly, it fell short in more ways than one. The biggest issue I had was the lead character and the actress cast to play it. Ooja has been typecast and I thought seeing her as the lead would show us a different side to the actress but my perception of her acting skills are worse than before. There's nothing worth remembering about this story and her acting did nothing to el
