Feud: Bette & Joan- "Pilot"

Image via imdb.com
I never knew anything about Bette Davis and Joan Crawford but I did a little research after watching the trailer and after one episode Ryan Murphy didn't disappoint. These two iconic actresses are played by movie legends, Bette Davis is played by Susan Sarandon while Jessica Lange plays Joan Crawford. These Hollywood icons were not fond of each other but they come together because of the 1962 film "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane". The eight episode anthology focuses on the backstage battle between the two actresses.

The cast is amazing and these two actresses play their parts so well, with the fur and vintage cars, I didn't want the episode to end. I had to do a bit of reading about these two actresses and at that time, they were at the top of their game. But after a while, they weren't getting so much roles so Joan had to search for a project and she picks Bette to co star. This is the beginning of their backstage battle. On the first day of shooting, Joan comes to set bearing gifts, trying to bribe her way to better lighting. She and Bette keep complaining about each other but when they are invited to lunch by gossip columnist Hedda Hopper they both present a united front.

The quality of acting on this show is superb, each of the cast members deliver amazing performances which are Emmy worthy. Ryan Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story) has done it again with Feud. The first episode has already set a high bar for what we should expect from the next seven episodes. I look forward to the next episode and i'm sure it'll only get better. The series was renewed in February 2017 for a ten episode second season centered on the relationship of Prince Charles and Princess Diana which will premiere in 2018.

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I c...

Goodbye Mike & Rachel- Suits' Seventh Season Finale Review

Suits is one of my favorite Legal Drama's and for some reason, I'm still very invested in the show after 7 seasons. I don't think they've had any bad season and they've done such a great job with the growth and development of the major characters but the time to say goodbye to Mike and Rachel was finally here. Due to the fact that Meghan Markle would be getting married to Prince Harry, I guess it was a good time to wrap up her love story with Mike and they do this with the fairy tale wedding we've all been waiting for. Mike and Rachel have been an item since the first season and have been engaged since the fifth. They would have been married a season ago but were not able to because of Mike's time in prison. I always loved their chemistry and I was so sad to see them say goodbye and more than anything, I loved Mike and Harvey's relationship. It was so genuine and pure. The two final episodes of the final season of Suits aired back to back and...

Snowfall Season One Finale Review- "The Rubicon"

There's no denying that this season has been intense for the four major characters and everyone around them. The first season of Snowfall was all over the place but the by the 8th episode, I was convinced the writers finally got their thoughts together. The pilot episode was good and I felt this was a show I was going to fall in love with, but it became a struggle to watch after the third episode.  They got my attention back after Leon was shot in the final scene of the 8th episode. Franklin got himself into a very dangerous business which I still think he hasn't fully realized. He wants to hustle hard and make sure he's mom doesn't have to bother herself about anything, but she's disappointed when she finds out about her son's extra curricular activities. The neighborhood knows that he's the boss and he's really all about the money.  Damson Idris brings his character of Franklin to life and I couldn't see anyone else playing this role. He's ...
