How To Get Away With Murder: Winter Premiere

Image via ew.com
HTGAWM shattered a lot of hearts with its mid season finale which included the death of a very beloved character. I still can't come to terms with the fact that Wes actually is dead. Here's a quick run down of what went down in the last few episodes. Laurel & Wes started a romantic relationship, someone blew up Annalise's house, Laurel was in the house when it blew up and she's pregnant with Wes' baby, WES DIED, Annalise was arrested for arson and is a prime suspect for Wes' death, Oliver wiped Annalise's phone before she got arrested and Frank is back!

"We're Bad People" begins with a flash back of Annalise watching Wes play football with Meggy and this brings back memories of Wes playing football as a child. It's a flashback within a flashback. In the present day, Annalise gets transferred to jail giving me some Orange is the New Black vibes. Bonnie visits Laurel in the hospital and tells her that Wes had passed on before the fire. Laurel is convinced form the information that her ex-lover Frank, is the killer. I wouldn't be surprised if he indeed murdered Wes, but I know the writers wouldn't make it so easy for the viewers to connect the dots. The killer would most likely be someone we never even thought of. Bonnie tells Frank that Laurel thinks he did it, and she too is not sure of Frank.

BONNIE: Laurel thinks it was you.
FRANK: What do you think?
BONNIE: Just answer me.
FRANK: You think I'd do this to Annalise? After everything?
BONNIE: I don't know what to think anymore.

After this one minute conversation, Bonnie visits Annalise in jail. She thinks the Mahoneys did it after finding out about Wes. Annalise tells Bonny that she has to represent her in court for her bail hearing.
In another flashback, we see Laurel and Wes in a bathtub, discussing how a condom broke.
Two detectives visit Laurel at the hospital and she tells them that Annalise neither burnt the house nor murdered Wes. Annalise seems frustrated in jail especially with the younger cell mate continually taunting her. She refuses to eat, pee, poop or talk to anyone. Connor, Asher and Michaela finally see Laurel at the hospital and everyone except Connor is convinced that Annalise didn't do it. Connor reveals that Annalise asked Oliver to wipe everything from her phone. When Laurel tells them that Wes is the father of her baby, Connor tells her to get an abortion.

CONNOR: Waitlist isn't the kind of father you want for your child.

This makes Asher go crazy and he pummels Connor. Michaela gets really furious with Asher and makes him promise not to flip out again. In a flashback, Connor talks to Wes about how he just got out of therapy and how he had to talk about all the "murder stuff". At Annalise's bail hearing, the prosecution ties her to Wes' murder. Just as he was about to cooperate with the police, he was murdered. Quite fishy, right? Nate visits the Medical Examiner because the autopsy revealed that Wes died due to massive smoke inhalation. He suspects foul play because the previous "unofficial autopsy" stated Wes was murdered before the fire. He wonders why the Medical Examiner changed her story. I can't wait to find out.

Laurel tells Frank that she loved Wes more than she loved him and she wishes he was the one dead. Not Wes. This basically made Frank feel worthless in my opinion, because the only person he loves wants him dead. This drives him to admit to the police that he killed Wes. Nothing to lose, right? The episode ends with a flashback of Frank picking Wes up just after he leaves the police station. Uh ohh!!! Is Frank really the killer? We really don't know for sure. The episode focused more on the characters and their relationships. Everyone except Connor is taking Wes' death really hard, Michaela is dealing with her mother leaving and Frank is still bent on proving himself to Annalise. I'm sure tons of viewers were hoping that Wes' death was staged and he was going to make a comeback, but alas, hearts have been shattered. You can all mourn now for sure. Wes is actually dead. Seeing the Medical Examiner weigh his liver confirms every doubt we had about his death. Annalise is definitely struggling with the new prison environment but she's gradually accepting her fate. She still feels like someone is framing her. She might have to pay for all the murders she covered up over the past few years.

Randoms
- So Meggy is taking care of her dead ex-boyfriend's girlfriend, who is pregnant with his baby?
- I really miss Frank's facial hair
- The bathtub scene with Laurel and Wes made me sad and angry at the same time. I'm so pissed she's pregnant.
- I hope we see more of Annalise's cell mates
- Frank and Bonny? Really? That needs to end please.
- I still ship Laurel and Frank. #Flaurel

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I cried for two episodes straight) which means

Review- Who's The Boss (2020)

Directed by Chinaza Onuzo, "Who's The Boss" follows Liah (Sharon Ooja) , an Advertising Executive who struggles to climb the cooperate ladder while juggling her mean and vindictive boss Hauwa (Funke Akindele- Bello). She takes the advice of her best friend Jumoke (Ini Dima-Okojie) and enlists her friend Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu), a known play boy into posing as her boss but ends up falling for him. It doesn't get any more cliche than this. After watching the first teaser for the Inkblot comedy, I was a little intrigued and looked forward to seeing how they were going to pull it off but sadly, it fell short in more ways than one. The biggest issue I had was the lead character and the actress cast to play it. Ooja has been typecast and I thought seeing her as the lead would show us a different side to the actress but my perception of her acting skills are worse than before. There's nothing worth remembering about this story and her acting did nothing to el
