Review- Avengers: Endgame (2019)

It's been three weeks since the events of Infinity War which wiped away more than half of the universe. Iron Man and Nebula are in space but they are suddenly rescued by Captain Marvel and returned to Earth to be reunited with the remaining Avengers. Unable to find a way to reverse Thanos' snap, they all give up and separate to different places. Five years later, Ant Man returns to a different Earth after being stuck in the Quantum Realm. He brings up the idea of Time Travel and together with Black Widow, Captain America and Hulk, they assemble the remaining Avengers to return back in time to borrow the stones before Thanos has a chance to get them and erase half of the Earth.

11 years, 22 films. The MCU has been giving us non stop superhero action and it's sad that this phase has come to an end. It's no joke bringing together big names and big characters in not one but two movies and making sure each of these characters have significant screen time but they did it with Infinity War and again with End Game. End Game was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films in recent years and I was a 100% sure that I wouldn't be disappointed and I wasn't. Never have I sat through a three hour film without thinking of peeing but that happened while seeing End Game. All I kept thinking about was the fact that I needed the Avengers to return everything back to normal. Thankfully, they did. But it came at a heavy price of losing two of the Avengers. The acting from these actors and their dedication to these characters is something I'll be forever grateful to be able to witness. Robert Downey Jnr gave an amazing and emotional performance as Iron Man which I think was one of his best yet, Scarlett Johanssen and Jeremy Renner were spectacular especially during their scene at Vomir and Chris Evans was phenomenal. I've never screamed so hard for a character before but Captain America made me do that. He had literally everyone in the theatre screaming from joy and excitement. I loved the fact that no character overshadowed the other. Each character had important roles to play and they all did amazingly well with it. Although, I thought we were going to see more of Captain Marvel but she had very little screen time and didn't save the day per say.

The Visual effects in this film was marvelous, just like every other Marvel film and the fully action packed third act was mind-blowing. Story wise, I still feel like Infinity War was better. It focused more on the characters development than the action and I never got bored for one second. It's very rare for movies to match the hype but End Game surpassed all expectations. I don't know how these producers/directors/writers of all the MCU movie do it. They kept millions of people all over the world engaged for over 10 years with 22 films. I doubt there was a dry eye in the theatre as the film came to an end. Two guys beside me were even crying more than me. I loved the fact that we got to revisit some of the past movies making it even more nostalgic for fans like me. It gave the entire experience more depth. It's unreal the effect these movies have on people and I'm left wondering how they'll top this off. It's hard to fathom the fact that this will most likely be the last time we'll see Tony, Steve, Natasha, Clint and Bruce together. There were a few plot holes here and there but overall, it was an EPIC conclusion to the 22 movie cycle and I can't wait to see what they have in store next.

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I cried for two episodes straight) which means

Review- Who's The Boss (2020)

Directed by Chinaza Onuzo, "Who's The Boss" follows Liah (Sharon Ooja) , an Advertising Executive who struggles to climb the cooperate ladder while juggling her mean and vindictive boss Hauwa (Funke Akindele- Bello). She takes the advice of her best friend Jumoke (Ini Dima-Okojie) and enlists her friend Lekan (Blossom Chukwujekwu), a known play boy into posing as her boss but ends up falling for him. It doesn't get any more cliche than this. After watching the first teaser for the Inkblot comedy, I was a little intrigued and looked forward to seeing how they were going to pull it off but sadly, it fell short in more ways than one. The biggest issue I had was the lead character and the actress cast to play it. Ooja has been typecast and I thought seeing her as the lead would show us a different side to the actress but my perception of her acting skills are worse than before. There's nothing worth remembering about this story and her acting did nothing to el
