How To Get Away With Murder Finale: "He Made a Terrible Mistake"/ "Wes"

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! This story contains spoilers about the third season Finale of How To Get Away With Murder. Read at your own risk.

After all the suspense, we finally know who killed Wes. I was a little pissed when I found out how he died, every theory I had about his death was wrong. "He Made a Terrible Mistake" begins with Connor struggling with his feelings about the investigation, though he still believes Annalise killed Wes. Annalise is at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and they talk about mistakes they've made and where it has gotten them. Just as this is going on, Connor is reevaluating his life and almost gets hit by a bus. We're still not sure what role he played in Wes' death.  Back in the courtroom, Bonnie argues to dismiss Annalise's case by putting Atwood on the stand, accusing her of cremating Wes' body. She denies it but the fact that Charles Mahoney had just been released from jail makes Annalise suspicious of her actions, so Annalise tells Nate to snoop around for some information. He gets Atwood's wifi password for Oliver to look through and they come across a blocked number Atwood dialed on the night of Wes' murder. Connor tells Michaela why he had been acting up and being such a jerk and it doesn't even take her up to a minute to tell the rest of the crew. During a flashback, Connor uses his Humper buddie's phone to check his voicemail and Annalise tells him to go to the house. When he gets there, he finds Wes on the floor of the basement so he tries to resuscitate him but discovers a gas leak with an open flame, so he runs out of the house.
Laurel is angry that Connor is just revealing the vital piece of information. Why did he wait so long? She tells him to kill himself. Connor doesn't believe he's innocent because he heard a rib crack when he was trying to resuscitate Wes and he thinks that might have killed him.

Meanwhile, Denver wants Frank to take a deal and say Annalise ordered him to kill Wes but of course Frank refuses the deal. There's really nothing that would make him turn on Annalise. Back at the house, Asher suggests they call the mystery number they got from Atwood but Annalise refuses. Connor offers to take the stand and reveal how he found Wes so they could question the autopsy report but Annalise suggests Laurel does it instead.
Denver goes in on Laurel and accuses her of perjury. He reveals to the court that she had previously lied about being kidnapped years ago so the motion to dismiss the case is denied and they have to go to trial. Connor goes to Denver's office to take an immunity deal but before he could do this, Asher calls the mystery number and a phone starts ringing in Denvers drawer which only means he had been involved all along. Denver walks in just as Connor picks up the burner phone and there's a flashback of a man in a car watching as Connor runs away from Annalise's house moments before the explosion. In another flash back scene, Wes tells Nate that he has done awful things to Annalise and Nate leaves the house with Wes still alive. Wes leaves Annalise a voicemail and just before he finishes, he gets attacked by the mystery man and injected with a substance. Back in the present day, Denver takes Connor to a special interrogation room and everyone, especially Oliver is concerned about him. Asher and Bonnie confront Denver but he denies knowing Connors whereabouts. Annalise decides to see Sylvia Mahoney and she tells her she knows she killed Wes because he was her husbands son. Sylvia denies this and also being involved in the death of Annalise's baby years ago. She reveals that her son, Charles is actually Wes' father and Annalise believes her. Annalise decides to pin all the murders on Wes for the 'greater good'.

They are all confronted with this issue, especially Laurel but they have to do something about the situation because Connor told Denver that Oliver had a copy of Annalise's phone on his computer. He probably thought the phone recording wasn't so important. The police seized Oliver's computer and they find a voicemail of Wes saying- "I was at the police station. They found Rebecca’s body. They’re saying you did it. All of it. Even Sam. You can’t go down for what I did. There’s no way I could live with myself so please come home.” Annalise knows this implicates Wes which would ultimately prevent her from going back to jail. Laurel decides to confront Charles using Michaela's flirting skills. Charles quickly invites Michaela back to his place. Annalise tells Denver to drop the case and he's able to make a good point to the judge, telling her that Wes killed himself out of guilt. Laurel decides to take matters into her own hands by shooting Charles. Just as she's making her way to Charles with a gun, she's stopped by someone she knows, Dominic-the mystery man- and through flashbacks we see that he was the one who killed Wes by suffocating him and burning the house. Laurel's father ordered him to kill Wes. WAIT, WHAT??
In the final scene we see Annalise at an AA meeting spilling out her guts about how she feels about Wes and his death. "He wasn’t just a stranger. He was — he felt like my son… He was my son, and he’s gone.” Hmmm... Could Wes be Annalise's biological son? I wouldn't be surprised because nothing is impossible with this show. Maybe Annalise gave baby Wes to his mother, Rose so he won't be murdered by the Mahoneys or maybe she just felt a very strong connection with Wes and saw him as a son. We'll have to wait till next season to find out. I was a little bit disappointed that the murderer was someone we never thought about. I honestly felt it was Nate, Meggy or the Mahoneys. But that's the good thing about this show, its so unpredictable.

There were a few things that didn't sit well with me. Laurel intentionally put Michaela in harms way with Charles Mahoney (an alleged rapist and killer) just to get answers. This was such a stupid plan that would have probably led to another murder. Laurel had a relationship with Wes for maybe three or four episodes and she starts acting like she knew him so well for so long. Yes, she was heart broken and devastated but the finale played her out to be a little annoying and not so smart. The most excruciating scene to watch was Wes' murder. He struggled while he was being chocked and called out for help before dying. This made my eyes water a bit, poor Wes. I saw different versions of Annalise in the finale, how she rolled her eyes in court when Bonnie argued in court was funny. To be honest, Bonnie isn't a really good lawyer. Even the kids in law school were better than her. We have to take a moment to applaud Viola Davis' crying skills. She doesn't hold anything back, you literally see her nose running and her whole body crumbles from the pain she's feeling at that particular moment. I wasn't so surprised to find out Denver was involved in bringing down Annalise, he never liked her.
Dominic killed Wes! The fact that Laurel had been fighting so much for the truth about Wes' murder only makes the whole situation more messed up. Her father killed the love of her life. I have always known her father was evil but this was just too much. Why kill the poor innocent boy? I can't wait to see how this plays out next season.

RANDOMS
• I actually thought Meggy killed Wes.
• The scene where Annalise says Wes was her son was so raw and I could actually feel her pain.
• Having to wait for a new season can be annoying but we can rest easy because we know the show has been renewed. Yaaayy!!

SUITS: Season 6 finale

The 6th season of suits has been quite an emotional one with Mike's would be wedding with Rachel, his going to Prison and Rachel's death row case. Death row cases can get really sad especially if the suspect is innocent which was the case of Leonard Bailey (Glenn Plummer) who was accused of murdering two people. After staying behind bars for 12 years, Leonard Bailey was finally exonerated with the help of Rachel and Jessica (Gina Torres). During this episode, a major character said goodbye to the show. Gina Torres decided to leave Suits to film another TV Show 'Catch' and it was quite emotional. This episode showed a different side of Jessica Pearson, she put her pro Bono case first before the firm and fought for the freedom of Leonard Bailey.          Gina Torres will no longer be a series regular and I was happy her character wasn't killed off like Will Gardner in the Good Wife, (I c...

"Don't Tell Mama"- The Shocking Sharp Objects Season Finale

Sharp Objects easily tops the list of my all time favorite TV Series. The HBO Limited Series aired it eight and final episode last night and it's something I'll probably never forget. I'm trying so hard to find the right words to describe this amazing show and the phenomenal acting from Amy Adams, Patricia Clarkson and Eliza Scanlen. They were just too perfect. Throughout the season, we've all been trying to figure out who the killer was in this whodunnit and I had so many theories. I never believed it was John Keene because most times, it's always the person you least expect that'll end up being the perpetrator. My first suspect was Alan (Henry Czerny), Adora's husband and Amma's father. I thought the only reason he would venture out to killing teenage girls was due to the fact that he was no longer as had a bond with his daughter and his loveless marriage but I was so wrong. Then I thought it was the Police Chief, Bill who was in cahoots with Ado...

Chicago Justice: Series Premiere/Crossover Episode-"Fake"

Image via imdb.com I looked forward to seeing Chicago Justice after it was announced because I love the One Chicago universe even though I'm yet to see the other shows, i'm very familiar with their stories and characters. I'm a crazy fan of Chicago PD so I'm going to binge watch all the episodes of Chicago Fire, but I don't think I'll be able to see Chicago Med. Medical shows are too emotional for me. With Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, I don't know where to start from, but I'll binge watch from season one to eighteen whenever I can for sure.  The four part crossover started with an episode on Chicago Fire and concluded in the season premiere of Chicago Justice. There is a fire at a warehouse and the Chicago Fire crew think it's an accident but Severide (Taylor Kinney) finds metal wedges shoved under the door which means whoever started the fire wanted everyone trapped inside, so its arson.
