Kemi Adetiba's "King of Boys" is an Unforgettable Force to be Reckoned With!- Review

King of Boys follows the story of Alhaja Eniola Salami (Sola Sobowale), a businesswoman and philanthropist with a complicated past and a promising political future. She is a pillar of the society, loved by many and feared by most. As her political ambitions grow, she'd drawn into a power struggle that threatens everything she cares about.    I've always loved Kemi Adetiba from her days of making music videos and I was always in awe of how her work stood out from everybody else's work. She came back with King of Boys starring Sola Sobowale, Adesua Etomi, Reminisce, Toni Tones and made me appreciate her even more than I already did. Before I saw it, I was a bit  skeptical  about the fact that it had so many big names and wondered if the story and acting was going to be any good. It surpassed my expectations in every way and I  haven't  been able to stop talking  about it since I saw it. Sola Sobowale is a gem and she needs to be protec...

Review - A Star is Born (2018)

Directed, Produced and co-written by The Hangover's Bradley Cooper, A Star is Born is a tragic love story that follows the rise of the underdog and the crash of a rock star. I n the fourth take on thus tragic love story, Cooper plays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers and falls in love with struggling artist Ally (Lady Gaga). Ally gave up on her dream to make it big as a singer until she meets Jack and he coaxes her into the spotlight. Her career takes off and Jack's takes a nose dive. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't counting down to the premiere of A Star is Born starring Lady Gaga. I knew it was going to be a great film but I didn't expect it to be as magnificent as it was. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's chemistry was out of this world and their acting gave me serious goosebumps. Their acting was so good that I couldn't stop myself from getting emotional while watching some of the scenes. Cooper did an amazing job behind and in front of th...

Review- Marvel's Venom (2018)

Investigative Journalist, Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), an ambitious reporter destroys both his career and his romantic relationship with Anne Weying (Michelle Williams) when he hacks into her computer to get more details on the evil Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed) and confronts him about his various shady business deals. Six months later, Brock is struggling to keep his life together and make ends meet but his life changes forever when he is approached by one of Drake's employees,  Dora Skirth (Jenny Slate). She confirms Eddie's previous suspicions and they break into the lab together which leads to Eddie accidentally getting infected by an alien symbiote named Venom who gives him superpowers while communicating with him in his head.  Eddie must rely on his newfound powers to protect the world from a shadowy organization. Ever since I found out Tom Hardy was going to play the Marvel character, I was literally counting down to the premiere because I knew he was...

AY's Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons follows a group of friends, Remi (Folarin Falana), Ayo (Ramsey Nouah), Naz (Jim Iyke) and Amaju (AY) who think of themselves as the most eligible bachelors in Abuja. These Merry Men have been the "Robin Hood's" of the state because of their mission of stealing from corrupt politicians and giving back to the poor. They face a daunting task when they come across a corrupt politician whose plan is to demolish the Garki village and build an ultra modern shopping complex. The plan is particularly of a personal nature to one of the Merry Men, Ayo, who has personal roots in Garki Vilage. It's left to the Merry Men to make sure this plan never comes to fruition while they deal with relationships, love, family and the risks of getting caught by the police.     From 30 Days in Atlanta to A Trip to Jamaica and 10 Days in Sun City, AY has continued to prove to Nigerians that he knows what they like and he does it again with Merr...
