Prison Break Season Five Finale-"Behind The Eyes"

Image via heavy.com I'm a HUGE fan of prison break and I was ecstatic when news broke that there was gong to be a reboot. I was so excited to see Wentworth Miller as the iconic Michael Scofield again. When the series began, everything seemed okay but after the first few episodes, it started getting a bit predictable. I knew Sara's husband had something to do with Michael's incarceration in Yemen, it was quite obvious after episode 3. Robert Knepper playing T-Bag was something I looked forward to seeing again simple because he was one of my favorite characters. He was such a sociopathic serial killer and could murder anyone who stood in his way. I always like the bad guys in TV shows because they make everything fun to watch, but T-Bag's story line was no longer important after he takes suspicious pictures of Sarah's husband. And what was that thing with the artificial hand? I felt maybe someone would come out of nowhere and say he gave T-Bag the hand and prob

Slow Country (2017)

Image via pulse.ng Slow Country is an Action movie starring Ivie Okujaye as Kome, a single mother who gets trapped in the world of drug trafficking and prostitution. After 7 years of working for Tuvi (Sambasa Nzeribe), she decides to quit and live a better life but isn't able to because of the threat on her life by Tuvi. She crosses  paths with her son's father Osas (Tope Tedela) after losing contact 7 years ago and together try to stop Tuvi and his thugs.  Image via premiumtimes.com Thumbs up to Nollywood for producing a good action movie which didn't seem as fake as the others. The gun shots looked and sounded real, the explosions seemed real and the blood also looked real. Although, I had a problem with the cinematography which was extremely dull and looked like it was produced in the early 2000s. Maybe it was lack of funds or they were trying to make it look a certain way but it didn't work out. The plot wasn't something so spectacular, because

Guardians of The Galaxy:Volume 2

Poster via imdb.com I'm not crazy about science fiction movies, but I liked the first installment of Guardians of The Galaxy. I particularly like Chris Pratt as Peter Quill and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, so I was a bit skeptical about the sequel because I know most sequels aren't as good as their first films. Just like the first one, James Gunn focuses on the theme of friendship and family with a bit of humor. This time, the story focuses on Peter Quill as he meets his long lost biological father Ego, played by the fantastic Kurt Russell. Peter feels like he finally knows what exactly happened to his father and why he left, only to realize that Ego is evil and only needs his genetics to be able to rule the world. Together with Gamora, Rocket, Drax, Mantis, Nebula and Yondu, they eventually defeat Ego.  Image via imdb.com The movie had great sound effects and CGI which I felt was a bit too colorful, like it was designed by little kids. The cast had fantastic chemis

Chicago Justice: Season One Finale-"Tycoon"

Image via tvweeklynow.com   Chicago Justice's first season finale aired on Sunday night and it was quite intense. The State Attorney's office went against one of the wealthiest abc powerful men in Chicago, Frank Linden (Richard Schiff). When I saw Schiff as Linden, I knew it was about to get real. The episode began with CPD's Lindsey (Sophia Bush) trying to console the wife of a man who had just been killed by a crane which collapsed at s construction site. CFD's Chief Boden let's Antonio and Nagel know that the collapse was not an accident. The murdered victim is the son-in-law of Linden. Stone and Valdez are determined to win this case and put Linden behind bars. With the help of Antonio and Nagel's investigation, Linden is found guilty of the crime by the jury. Peter's final scene in court was pretty intense, there was no way Linden was going to escape prison. Image via tvguide.com Through out its first season, Chicago Justice has been a pret

The Catch: Season Two Finale-"The Mockingbird"

Image via fansided.com The Catch ended  on Thursday night  with a lot of loose ends which won't be tied up because the show has been cancelled by ABC. The episode began with Margot's meeting with Tommy a.k.a Mockingbird to discuss a deal. She has to return his drugs and join his payroll or die. She's given 24 hours to make a decision and as soon as he leaves she finds out through a phone call from Rhys that Tessa had been kidnapped by Felicity. Felicity calls and asks for Rhys, Margot and Ben to trade Tessa. They all meet with her henchmen to get Tessa but Alice finds out that Tessa has been in cahoots with Felicity all along. Before Alice is able to do anything, Rhys, Margot and Ben are taken away by Felicity's men. Alice seeks help from Ethan and Justine who only agrees to help and take down Margot in the process. They find out Tommy was Mockingbird when they stage a meeting with Carol. Back at AVI, Justin admits that he had been posing as Mockingbird for a frien

The Fate of the Furious (2017)

Image via imdb.com When Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) are on their honeymoon in Havana, Cuba, Dom is approached by cyber terrorist, Cipher (Charlize Theron) who forces him to work for her by using his ex girlfriend and son as leverage. Letty, Hobbs, Shaw, Roman, Parker, Eric and Ramsey come together to stop Cipher and Dom.  Image via imdb.com The Fate of the Furious was filled with so much car chases, shootings and explosions, just like the previous films. I particularly like this one because it didn't have as much unrealistic and ridiculous scenes as the last film. Although it had a lot of over the top action scenes but that's why we love the franchise for. Every character was unique in their own way and had just enough screen time to make you love them all over again. Scott Eastwood and Helen Mirren were amazing additions to the cast and they didn't fail to deliver. I also think Charlize Theron did an awesome job as Cipher. You couldn

Billions: Season Two Finale-"Ball In Hand"

Image via Showtime.com   I had been seriously anticipating the finale of Billions because I knew it was going to be off the chains! This season wasn't really as crazy as last season, but it was just as good or maybe even better. The last episode was amazing and "Hand In Ball" was a great follow up to such an intense episode. The episode follows a time frame  from 5am when Bobby finds out about his arrest to 4pm  when he gets arrested. Bobby gets a surprise visit from Boyd who tells him that he's going to be arrested before the end of the day. We found out at the end of the last episode that Chuck set everything in motion and even lost more than 20 million dollars from his life savings just to make sure Bobby gets arrested. He knew Bobby was going to come for him once he got involved in Ice Juice and he was right. Chuck meets with Dake at a church to discuss how the arrest and prosecution will play out and off course Dake wants Bobby to have nothing to do with the
